WHISTLER CENTER FOR CARBOHYDRATE RESEARCH

Whistler Center for Carbohydrate Research is a university-industry research center that conducts fundamental research related to practical applications of carbohydrates. The Center provides world-class excellence in focused areas of carbohydrate research, communication related to the research areas, analytical services, and education. It works in partnership with companies to extend uses of carbohydrates, hydrocolloids in general, other biopolymers, and cereals.

PURDUE AG-CELERATOR INVESTS $100,000 IN PLANT, LEAF SCANNING TECHNOLOGY STARTUP

Leaf Spec Ag Technologies took first place in the Spring 2020 Demo Day, which was held virtually because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The startup’s technologies provide a digital lab solution for growers to identify in real time the nutrient and chemical compositions of plants.

A Purdue University-affiliated startup focusing on technology to turn municipal wastewater algae into specialty chemicals has received its second financial award in just two weeks.
